Mandi R. Jackson
Ms. Mandi R. Jackson is the COO and In House Counsel for Texas Spine and Neurosurgery. Ms. Jackson has extensive experience as an attorney and is also the CEO of eDiscovery Essentials. Ms. Jackson is an expert in efficiency and profitability consulting for multiple business types but has specialized in the medical industry. Ms. Jackson is a visionary who manages the statewide expansion of Texas Spine and Neurosurgery.
eDiscovery Essentials was founded by Mandi R. Jackson, a Texas licensed attorney specializing in electronic discovery. Her professional background includes work with AM 100 Law Firms, Fortune 500 Companies, and nationwide litigation support companies. Ms. Jackson’s case experience includes bankruptcy matters, business litigation, class actions, commercial healthcare litigation, employment disputes, government investigations, IP litigation, personal injury claims, products liability, qui tam actions, toxic tort claims and more. She has spoken at CLEs for attorneys and paralegals throughout her career and has lectured in both private and public University settings, to undergraduate students, law students and both master’s and PhD candidates. Ms. Jackson holds a B.S., cum laude, from the University of Florida and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin.
Prior to founding eDiscovery Essentials, Ms. Jackson was the Vice President of Client Services for a national litigation support company. In this role, Ms. Jackson provided strategic direction and leadership to the company’s Project Managers and Technologists. Additionally, she consulted with clients regarding eDiscovery, document review, and litigation readiness. Further, Ms. Jackson led the design, implementation and ongoing management of the company’s industry-leading educational program designed to ensure that its’ personnel gained and retained the knowledge necessary to deliver a consistently high-quality work product to clients. In her work with this organization, she effectuated a 38% increase in efficiency and profitability within her first year. She continued to achieve increases in efficiency and profitability throughout the remainder of her tenure with the company. Additionally, she increased client satisfaction with, and speed and accuracy of company work product and increased employee loyalty, professionalism and job satisfaction.
Prior to working in this capacity, Ms. Jackson worked for an AM 50 law firm, where she was responsible for consulting and coordinating with attorneys, clients, third party vendors and technical staff for the provision of litigation support needs, primarily of large litigation projects. In this role, she facilitated the electronic discovery process with an eye toward defensibility and cost containment. Additionally, she developed and implemented a customized vendor selection process to increase the firm’s litigation support efficacy and decrease the firm’s litigation support expenditures for multiple offices.
Before joining the firm, she was the lead attorney for another litigation support company’s largest commercial client. In this role, her responsibilities included collaborating internally with project management, legal services and programming services departments and externally with in-house and outside counsel to facilitate document acquisition and triage, as well as substantive legal review and production. During her tenure with this organization, Ms. Jackson designed and implemented a proprietary review metrics procedure to easily identify issues and key players, increasing both the accuracy and speed of the document review process.
